Grant Griffin's blog

Welcome to my parlor

I've owned grantgriffin.info for a couple of years and have never done much with it, but when the opportunity came up recently to acquire grantgriffin.com from its former owner (sorry, Grant), I just couldn't pass it up.

So, in an era of Facebook and Twitter, why exactly does one need to own a domain named after them? Simple: it's all about vanity. Who wants to be limited to "status updates" when you can create long, boring blog entries? And who want to send out just 140 characters when thousands would suffice?
